Paul Pfab aka DJ Palermo has been an integral part of the DJ scene for over 35 years. Since the mid-1980s, professional DJ in the most important discotheques in Austria (U4, Volksgarten, Fabrik, Dorian Gray, etc…), music producer and radio DJ. Founding member and producer of the legendary Bingoboys with No.1 hit in the US Dancefloor Chart, winner of the golden ROMY (1992, Best TV Music), Austrian Club Award Legend (Lifetime Award, 2010)
Founder (together with Edith Kampl) of Deejay Top 4ty – the Austrian dance charts and organizer of over 300 events under the Deejay Top 4ty trademark throughout Austria. Operator of the booking agency of the same name and the largest DJ promotion pool in Austria. The Deejay Top 4ty dance charts were also a fixed part of the Discoinferno radio show on Ö3/ORF (DeeJay top 4ty master mix) for more than 10 years. His musical career began in the mid-1980s in the DumDum record store and as a DJ in the U4 with the legendary Vienna DJ team (Alfi “Bad J” Budin †, Stefan “DSL” Biedermann and Klaus Biedermann). As a producer of Edelweiss (together with Martin Neumayer, Walter Werzowa and Klaus Biedermann) he achieved his first worldwide success with “Bring Me Edelweiss“.
One of the few Austrian musicians who can claim to have had a No.1 hit in the USA. With the Bingoboys he conquered number 1 in the US dance charts in 1991. The song was called “How To Dance” and was one of the most internationally successful Austrian productions ever. With Edelweiss and the title “Spaceship Edelweiss” (int. version “Starship Edelweiss”) there were again top placements in domestic and foreign sales charts.
In the mid-90s both acts were shelved and Paul Pfab founded his company Deejay Top 4ty together with Edith Kampl, a DJ promotion pool including booking and event agency and determined the Austrian club and dance charts Deejay Top 4ty. His Deejay Top 4ty compilation CD series is one of the most successful in its genre in the domestic market and has sold well over 200,000 copies in total.
At the same time, under his DJ pseudonym Palermo, he achieved legendary status in the best clubs in the country and produced some dance floor hits with cult status with partner DJ Doozer (Music, Makes The World Go Around, Paris, You Got Me). Since 1999 he has been producing successfully with Eberhard Forcher for TV and radio under the synonym Soundtrackerz.

The Soundtrackerz (Eberhard Forcher & Paul Pfab) are sound designers with a past. Their portfolio includes top ten hit productions for Tom Petting, Bingoboys and Edelweiss, as well as complete sound equipment for various TV and radio formats.
The fact that the two soundtrack archers have also gained a first-class reputation as DJs, remixers, music compilers and radio producers, independently of their producer activities, speaks for their obsessive engagement with music. Their “Music for Media” soundtracks have become the acoustic fixed point of various television and radio programs in recent years.
